The Tabacalera Tambor in Costa Rica was the creation point for this 1997-introduced series of full-bodied cigars. The natural-wrapped series uses a Sumatra-seed wrapper from Ecuador and a Dominican binder and filler while the Bahia Gold Maduro line (re-blended in 2003) uses Connecticut Broadleaf for wrapper to accompany the Dominican-grown binder and filler. all of the finished cigars are aged for 12 months following rolling to ensure the perfect marriage of flavors for the smoker. Production migrated in 2001 from Costa Rica to Nicaragua.
